How to convert photos into a single PDF (JPG to PDF)

By Learning Media Publication · Updated 5 November 2026

Teachers ask for assignments as one PDF, colleges want documents in PDF, and a single file is easier to share on WhatsApp or email than twenty photos. Here is how to turn a set of photos into one clean PDF.

1. Take good photos

  • Lay each page flat on a dark, plain surface so the edges are clear.
  • Use daylight from a window. Avoid the flash and your own shadow.
  • Hold the phone straight above the page, not at an angle.
  • Take the pages in order, so they are already sorted in your gallery.

2. Crop and rotate

Use your phone's photo editor to crop away the table or bed around the page and rotate any sideways photos. This makes the PDF look neat and keeps the file smaller.

3. Convert to PDF

  1. Open JPG to PDF and select all the photos.
  2. Check the order and drag pages to rearrange them if needed.
  3. Choose a page size. A4 is best for printing and for most portals; "fit to image" keeps each photo at its own size.
  4. Create the PDF and download it.

4. Check the size

A PDF made from 10 phone photos can be 20 MB or more. If a portal or email has a limit, run the file through Compress PDF. For forms with strict limits, see how to compress a PDF under 100 KB or 200 KB.
