Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos and for forms that only accept JPG. PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with a transparent background. WebP for websites, as files are smaller at the same quality.
Why did my PNG get a white background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose. Pick PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
