How to use the passport photo maker
- Choose the photo size and select a front-facing photo.
- Drag and zoom so your face fits the guide. Turn on white background if the wall is plain.
- Pick a sheet size and number of copies, then download the sheet or a single photo.
About this tool
The sheet is drawn at 300 DPI, which is what photo labs print at, so each photo measures exactly 3.5 × 4.5 cm (or the size you chose) on paper. Thin grey cut lines help you trim the copies neatly.
Questions
What size is an Indian passport photo?
3.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm high, with a plain white or light background and your face covering about 70–80% of the height. That is the default here.
Can I print the sheet at a photo shop?
Yes. Download the 4×6 inch sheet as JPG and ask for a 4×6 (10 × 15 cm) print at 100% size, with no cropping or "fit to page". Each photo then comes out at the right size.
Can I print on A4 paper at home?
Yes. Choose the A4 sheet and download the PDF. Print at "Actual size" or 100%, not "Fit to page".
The background is not turning white.
Background whitening works best on a plain wall. Move the slider to the right a little. For busy backgrounds, use our Remove background tool first.
