Notes maker

Turn a PDF, Word file, photo of a page or any text into point-wise notes, in Hindi or English.

PDF, Word (.docx), text file, or photos of pages (JPG, PNG). Drop them here.

Used for scanned PDFs and photos, which are read with OCR.

Your files and text are read in this browser and never uploaded. For scanned pages and photos, the free OCR engine downloads once from a public library server.

How to use the notes maker

  1. Upload a PDF, Word (.docx) file, text file or photos of book pages, or switch to Paste text. For scanned PDFs and photos, choose the language: English, Hindi or both.
  2. Choose Short, Medium or Detailed. The notes follow the material's own headings, with the key points under each.
  3. Copy the notes, download them for Word, print them, or turn the definitions into flashcards.

About this tool

The Notes maker reads your material, finds its chapter and section headings, and keeps the most important sentences of each section as bullet points. It lists the key terms and collects definitions, both English sentences such as 'Osmosis is the movement of water…' and Hindi ones such as '…को परासरण कहते हैं।'

Scanned PDFs and photos are read with OCR on your own device, so check spellings in the notes. Every point is a sentence from your material, so nothing is invented, but the notes condense the author's words rather than rewrite them.

Questions

Can I make notes in Hindi?

Yes. Hindi text from a PDF, Word file or pasted text works directly. For scanned pages or photos, choose Hindi or English + Hindi as the language before uploading.

Can I use photos of my book?

Yes. Select one or more photos of the pages, in order. Take them in good light, straight above the page, so the OCR can read them clearly.

Does it rewrite the text in simpler words?

No. It picks out the key sentences exactly as written, so nothing is invented or changed. Rewriting in new words needs AI, which we plan to add later.
