Questions
Why is CBSE CGPA multiplied by 9.5?
CBSE set 9.5 as the conversion factor because it was the average percentage of students who got a 10 grade point in each subject over earlier years. So 8.4 CGPA × 9.5 = 79.8%.
Which formula should I use for a job form?
Use the formula printed on your marksheet or your university's notification. If the form gives its own formula, use that instead. If none is given, many forms accept CGPA × 10 for a 10-point scale.
How is CGPA worked out from SGPAs?
If credits differ by semester, CGPA = sum of (SGPA × credits) ÷ total credits. If you leave credits blank, a simple average of the SGPAs is used.
